The Blacksmith is a sophisticated cocktail bar right in the heart of Richmond just a hop, skip and a jump from Richmond Station on Swan St. Drawing inspiration from its original occupants (McNaughton’s Ironmongers), the bar has been recently meticulously renovated by The Pratt Hospitality Group into a modern space with a tip of the cap to the former 1924 occupant, The Blacksmith! On the 1st floor of this local family owned premises you will find one of Richmond’s favourite event spaces.

Room Design Features to assist you with your decoration colouring:
Leading up to the first floor the walls are lined with wooden panels on one side and and navy velvet cushioning on the other which give a very luxe beginning to your event. As you enter the spacious room you will find gorgeous whitewashed brick walls, wooden floor boards and a light paneled ceiling. Gold light fittings and a burgundy curtain adorn the walls with feature mirrors and cute artwork in wooden frames. Mocha upholstered couches line the southern wall under the windows (with a dark navy trim) overlooking Swan St with a dark navy back board underneath and a burgundy and navy Persian rug in front. The stunning bar is adorned with emerald green/dark teal finger tiles with a gold bar rail around the base. A burgundy feature wall leads to the photo booth room and private bathrooms. Beautiful wooden pieces such as a sideboard and piano also line the walls.
Suggested balloon colour combinations:
Neutrals, Gold, Rose Gold and White
Ivory and Golds
Midnight Blue and Gold
Emerald Green and Gold
Shades of Pink
Shades of Pink and Burgundy
Our Balloon Recommendations:
Scattered balloon arrangements (7 balloon arrangements with 3, 5 or 7 balloons within work really well in this space)
A suspended balloon garland upon the eastern entry wall on the left as you enter the room
Giant numbers or a large feature balloon arrangement
Simple balloon frame with a balloon garland
To fill the room with loose balloons we would recommend a minimum of 200 x 28cm balloons
